More choice does not make us decide better. Past a point, it makes us decide worse, or not at all. Whether it is a film to watch or a chair to buy, an abundance of options leaves us slower, less confident and less satisfied. Psychology calls this the paradox of choice.
I study, work and consult in the domain of information filtering and recommendation engines. I enjoy solving problems on how to remove the noise, so people decide faster and find exactly what they are looking for.
